The Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct does not allow suppliers to charge recruitment fees to their workers, even if allowed by local law. Dell partners with our suppliers to make sure they comply with the RBA Code of Conduct. If we find that recruitment fees are being charged, we expect that suppliers will reimburse the fee payment within 30 days and validate this through an RBA closure audit within 90 days. In FY22, we found that workers at a small connector supplier in Taiwan were required to pay recruitment fees during the onboarding process. To address these findings, our SER specialists partnered with the supplier to revise their recruitment policy and onboarding processes and enhance their internal audit checklist to avoid similar findings in the future. In addition, we ensured impacted workers were reimbursed $325,797 in fees paid.
